Pricing

Pay for the CPU, memory and disk you use.

Every sandbox is billed on three meters: the processor time it actually uses, the memory it holds and the disk space it has written. All prices include VAT. CPU and memory are billed per second, storage every hour.

Rates

MeterPriceWhat counts
CPU€0.02 per busy vCPU-hourProcessor time the sandbox actually uses, measured on our host rather than inside the VM. One vCPU busy for an hour is one busy vCPU-hour; so are two vCPUs at half load.
Memory€0.01 per GiB-hourThe full memory of the sandbox's size while it runs or is in standby (hibernated). Nothing while it is stopped.
Storage€0.10 per GiB-monthDisk space actually written, above 10 GiB free per organization. Charged in every state, running, standby and stopped, until the disk is deleted.
Network trafficIncludedOutbound traffic is included, with limits against abuse.

Storage is billed while the disk exists.

A sandbox in standby still pays for its memory, and a stopped one pays for neither CPU nor memory. Both keep their disk, and that disk is charged until it is deleted, which happens when you delete the sandbox. Delete sandboxes you no longer need.

What a sandbox costs per hour

Euros per hour, VAT included, without storage. A stopped sandbox costs only its storage.

  • A default sandbox at 25% CPU for an hour

    CPU: 4 vCPUs × 25% × 1 h = 1 busy vCPU-hour × €0.02
    €0.02
    Memory: 8 GiB × 1 h = 8 GiB-hours × €0.01

  • The same sandbox in standby overnight, for 10 hours

    Memory: 8 GiB × 10 h = 80 GiB-hours × €0.01

Ways to pay

These are the prices billing will use. During early access we are switching on top-ups, the subscription and the trial step by step; until billing is switched on for your account, use is free of charge and accounts are approved by hand.

  • Prepaid credit

Top up any amount. Your credit is used at the rates above and never expires. There is no bonus on top-ups.

  • Subscription: €20 a month

Includes €25 of usage every month, about 250 hours of a default sandbox at 25% CPU. Unused usage carries over for one month, up to €25. Usage beyond it is taken from your prepaid credit.

  • Trial: €10 of usage

When billing is switched on for your account, or when your account is approved if that is later, you get €10 of usage, about 100 hours of a default sandbox at 25% CPU. It expires 60 days after that. Free use during early access does not count towards the trial. During the trial you run one sandbox at a time, small or default, with 20 GiB of disk. All trials together hold at most 8 GiB of memory at once; when that is taken, a start waits in a queue until there is room.

When your credit runs out

Usage is paid in advance, from your subscription's usage and your prepaid credit; there is no bill after the fact. When your credit reaches zero, your sandboxes are stopped. Their disks are kept, so you can top up and start them again.
